View Full Version : Virtual mirror problem

Greetings,

Have been seeing a strange problem in Wings in the last couple of versions. When modelling with a virtual mirror there are sometimes holes in the mirrored half of the model. These holes are only visible in shaded view which seems strange. When I freeze the virtual mirror, however, they vanish.

See image attached. Any thoughts?

It may be related to your video card - my ATI for example shows the mirrored half entirely black in smoothed mode. I suspect it to be driver-dependant, as some drivers work fine, others not so good.

It had occured to me that it could be a video card problem but why only in the latest versions. Have there been any changes to OpenGL rendering code in the latest versions of Wings?

Solved the problem. It was the latest Nvidia drivers release. Have reverted to the previous version. Will there ever be a compatible set of drivers ever?!? Problems, problems, problems.
