Yes, I have this model, and it's gonna go into counter-strike eventually, and the poly count is quite high, while I've only finished one half of the model. Is there a war I can just like, un-smooth it, I mean, I didn't use smooth on It, but It looks really high poly for the Half-life engine.

thx

There are third party poly reduction programs..... but you get better results doing it by hand, especially for game stuff, when even one polygon makes a difference. One thing I can say, don't be afraid of triangles.

i dont know which version of wings your using but use going to need casco slide plugin in if you want to use wings to reduce it......basically you have to start welding verticies where you see redundent geometry....

good way to model is start of simple with a rough representation of the model....then add in detail....examplle the model in my thread (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114834) is 1500k triangles....this is fairly standard i could probally choop 500 polys of just in the hands alone, because i made the fingers round.....had i gone for a boxy mit look.(which is all you need in counter stirke) it lessons the amount...... could u post a wire frame of ur model
