Hey,

I have one quick question. I just purchase Zbrush 2 through a reseller and I won't arrive until couple of days. So during this time I'm just reading and going through many of the post on this forum.

Anyway my question is -

Do I need Polybump preview and Nvidia DDS Photoshop plugin to work. I have max 6 and I was reading through the manual and it said that I need these two plug-in and the max2obj and obj2max. I spend count less hours on the zbrush forum in pixologic and reading on max and zbrush. The max2obj and obj2max came up the most.

So do I really need Polybump preview and Nvidia DDS photoshop plugin or is it optional

depends on your workflow...

you dont need them to use any of the features in Zbrush....

But you may need them to create and tweak normal maps using Max and Photoshop.

DDS format has a very high compression format used for creating pixel shaders for game engines

Dont know what you need Polybump for....

But you will need the obj converter plugins for MAX if you want to import the .obj format from Zbrush
