It seems somewhat believable - even though he/she/it is an alien. I like the use of loops to define volume in the model. Good model. Quite inspirational.

Sweet. What will you use to finish/Render ????
If you don't have ZBrush or other commencial displacment renderer ...
Try DarkTree/Symbionts and 3Delight. It's all free ... although probably complicated unless you are a serious Win32 poweruser type. I'm going to try to ecapsulate the power of DarkTree/Symbionts in my own program before too long.
I can't wait to see how you finish this head ... or if you add s body.

Lovin it! One good thing to do for your smooth renders is to harden the edges around the base of the neck. It looks a bit better then the odd smoothing that occurs for an n-gon.
Nice work and excellent use of edge loops.
Was there an original drawing?

I'm now working on his neck and in the back of the head.
Rezonance - Thanks for the advice:thumbsup:. Sorry i don't have any draw, i'm just using my imagination.

just a small critique. The muscle below the elbow needs to flow better into the forearm. Other then that it's looking great.

great alien, i been following it and it looks great,
however, where the legs meet the hips looks really strange, it kinda slaps you in the face as soon as you look at it.......to me it looks like the legs are totally seperate to the body and have just been put under the hips. i dont know if you noticed it yourself, or maybe its just the angle of the pic,
great work btw....keep it coming
AlexLiki
06-21-2005, 09:44 PM
Hey Vel_Crow thanks for following it. :)
The legs look weird because they were totally separate from the body. But now the alien is just in one piece, the hole body is finally together.

nice man I like that.
my only crits would be that the head seems too smal in comparison with the length of the body and mass of the chest..
Also the lower (lower) legs don't work so well imo.. I would take off the calf muscles and try something different.
The neck/jaw area looks odd as well, but that could just be preference :)
Great job!!

Geta-Ve - How would a person know the correct proportions and anatomy of an alien being?
Great model! Thanks for the eye candy.

Sorry for the long delay on answering this.
Geta-Ve thanks for your coments. I still improving some areas.
Blaine91555- Thanks for your words.;)
This is almost finish! I still have to model the hands and make some adjustments on the model, but it is pretty much what you can see here.
