Hi,

I get a "numeric problem" and sometimes a "a closed surface cannot be mapped (either divide it into twoor more charts or cut it along some edges.)" error when generating a UV map. How can I fix this? What am I doing wrong?

thanks a mil,
erona

when you right click on your object and bring it into the uv editor window, before you click proceed, you have a list of colors. You need to select faces and assign those colors to different faces, and then click proceed. You want to divide the mesh up in a way that will make it easy for the uv editor to lay flat.

Numeric problem, means that you have some bad geometry in your model somewhere in the selected chart, split it up in lesser parts so you can locate the error.
