Been invited to post you guys the work i did on my recent Compound Bow prop for Poser...

so without further ado:

The basic bow was designed around Hoyt Vtec compound bow.....cams and riser design taken straight from pictures available off their website. Add ons for the prop included: stabiliser, whicker biscuit arrow rest, Pin sights, release aid, two arrows with different broadheads plus a drawn bowstring.

first stages of texturing took place in photoshop and Deep paint. A quick scan of some Realtree camo and a couple of thumbnails of camo patterns off the internet provided enough information to create a custom brush to texture the items. As much as possible the items were created with most sections available as different material zones to allow for easy customisation.

final stages of the bow involved creation of all items as "smart props" in Poser. I had to rebuild the main riser of the bow model to adjust arrow clearance and alignment with the string and the arrow rest....and the finished product was released fully ready for use in Poser complete with textures!

hope you enjoy

if you have any questions on this build or anything ive created in Rhino...please feel free to contact me...ill happily help in whatever way i can!

oh:
if you want the final prop: here it is.....
yes its FREE!
