Just curious what version of Rhino you're all using? I got 1.0 right when it came out and got free upgrades to 1.1 and 2.0 and am still using 2.0 because I really didn't need flamingo cause I don't render in Rhino. Anyone else out there still using 2.0?

I'm using 3.0 Eval. That's right, you read that right. I'm just fiddling with the eval version. I have 25 saves and I'm happy! :-P That's why some of the ideas of speed challenges and mini challenges are fun. :-) I don't have to save.. hehe. Some day I will use all 25 but until... EVAL HERE I AM!

2 was before it switched code, so you are still using the old alias code. Mcneel had to do a rewrite because of licensing issues with the code. 3 is alot different.
They buy us whatever is the new version of rhino here to keep current with everyone else since we share files alot.

Started in the 2's, on 3 now, and I'd be lost without the Bonus Tools. (Advanced Display, snaptocurve etc.)

Not for me. I don't use it that often, but it's pretty much stable.

I use 2.0 (no updates) for most of my work. I've got 3.0 (also no updates), but rarely use it (except the occasinoal copy-and-paste back and forth between them. I'm just happier with the workflow in 2 (perhaps I'm just more familiar with it). 3.0 has some neat new features, but I find it hard to justify the added memory and processor load on a regular basis since I rarely use them.

We have several copies of Rhino 3.0 at work spread out over several manufacturing plants. We try to upgrade everyone to the latest version as soon as it comes out, whether they need it or not. That way we know how to support their questions over time.

PS. Watch out for that Wyatt guy (@y), he is a master at Rhino.

Version 2 sitting on my 3D-Box, waiting for me to find some time ... and will most likely be updated to V3 before that, along with Cinema R9 Studio (from XL 8.2).

I use version 2 service release 3. I actually don't use it that much these days (well, more in the last month) but I used to be okay with modeling in it. :)

2.0 sr3 here :). Since I'm just hobbyist I dont see point getting the 3.0 at least at this point. If I remember correct I bought 1.0 in fall 1999 and then got free updates 1.0 -> 1.1 -> 2.0. Quite happy with this old. Maybe when the 4.0 is finished I will buy it but not sure.

I am still have v2, and probably won't upgrade any time soon, I just don't use it enough to do that. I didn't know about any service releases though. I hope they are still available.
