Rain Night this tutorial is great. I was working on it this weekend, and it is a lot of fun. Thanks for doing this.

One question I have is the use of interpolated curve that is mentioned throughout your tutorial. I have read some people say that control point curve is better for smoother surfaces compared to interpolate curve. Does anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on this? Is it simply a matter of preference, or does one give better results than the other in a given situation.

actually both type of curve editing is equivalent.
i personnaly draw them with the pointcurve tool, because i know where my curve is gonna get through, then edit it in interpolate mode (mousewheel click, points on). It's better, specificly on the ends where you have a better control on tangency.

fell free to ask if something's not clear to you, here or on smcars.
