View Full Version : Another wings3d/yafray issue

Hey, I am just getting started, but I have run into an issue with yafray. I have never done much modeling before (I used to hand code all my models in POV-Ray :sad: ). I keep getting errors whenever I do either of the following:

file>export>yafray
commandline:yafray [filename]

or
file>render>yafray

Both programs are fresh installs, no spaces in paths, and are up to date. I also changed the yafray preferences (in wings) so that Wings calls '/usr/bin/yafray' and not just 'yafray'. I am lost as what to do now.

It was the same error, so I will just post the wings console messages.

Yafray doesn't get that far with me, so I gave up and installed toxic - http://www.toxicengine.org/ all peachy (if a little slow) since.

Why do you want to export to Yafray?
There is a Yafray plugin for Wings3D so you can render there.
I don't care much for Toxic, Yafray is much nicer I think, easier to set up materials etc.. but, none of them are finnished.
If you have the Yafray plugin installed, just go to Render > Yafray. (the [] box let's you set options)

It looks like your povray plugin is old and misbehaving, try uninstalling wings and start
clean without installing the povray plugin.
