Can't select interior Vertices in Wings 3d

Hold Ctrl, drag over your selection, release Ctrl before releasing your mouse button, release your mouse button.

Or you can select the obstructing faces in face mode and use the hide faces command. That should open up things a bit. To get it back to normal use the show all command in body mode.

and you can invert the mesh(flip normals) if you need to select inside.
