Dear friend,

This is my first jewelry modeled in rhino 3 and rendered in flamingo.

http://img274.echo.cx/img274/2337/set2rq.th.jpg (http://img274.echo.cx/my.php?image=set2rq.jpg)

It took me 1.5 hour for modeling and half an hour for assigning material environment and lights.
The design took 168 mb harddrive space.
It took One hour for rendering with following pc configurations.
The design is solid... thought its not going to be mfged right now.

AMD 64 Bit 3200 +
1 GB ram
Nvidia SLI Board
Quadro NVS 4 Display card

I would definately like to have some complements about the rendering and the jewelry....
Thankyou friends.

Regards

Jeet.

Jeet, it looks like a great model except I found a couple things I would be concerned about if I were to make this out of real materials. There are a couple pieces that seem to overlap each other and I think in real life would be difficult to get this to happen. I think it's not what you intended but I could be wrong.

The picture follows. I circled the areas in red. Those are just two areas I noticed quickly.

Otherwise, it looks fantastic! Great work!

Yes friend....Azeiku

You are correct and i am already aware of it.... Actually it took too much time to render more then i expected so... i didnt correct it... well but i have mension in last thread about the same problem.. i will get correct it soon..

This model is difficult to prototype as pears are readily available but we can manufecture the gold part.

Thankx

Friends... Thankyou for replying...

Well, this is all diamond jewelry..... but i want to model very thin layer gold jewelry mostly found in india and dubai....

The thickness of gold will be as think as the thikness of this " l "

Well, we can consider it as a surface only... But this type of jewlry only manufectured with hand...

Do you think , i model surface only ? or should i give some thikness ?

Very well done.

After you fix those overlapping parts this will look really nice.

Do you plan on adding any kind of clasp, or would there be short, chain-like extensions on the necklace's ends that would support a clasp? I'm just curious.

Also, what material would be used to create the green dots on the gold leafs if this necklace were to actually be produced?

Friend... Actually that green stones are oval shaped pearl with two slots on its front surface. But its bit looking like a gem as i have used gems index of refraction for the green material to have good shadow....

Regarding those heart shaped part... there are two types of gems bein used.

1. clear gem
2. Emerald (Green gem)

For the pearls...

1. Golden pearl
2. Green pearl...

Well... I am going to re-render it with following material and want to fix some modeling part... and i will include some chain or something as you told me.

1. Metal : white gold
2. Gems : clear gem and emerald
3. Pearls : cultured pearl and green pearl
4. Backgroud i am going to change... because if i will use this backgroud i wont be able to get the silver like effect of white gold. Actually i have already tried the white gold but its not giving good effect with this backgroud. i will put any white ground.

Thanks for your complements.

Jeet.
