Ive created allot of concept cars, some that never get finished because lost interest or busy on other things. Well I decided I should do something with this simple design. pretty much full or network surfaces.

thought Id share. hope to see others out there with some cars. :-)

it's looking nice.
Looks like a cross between a lamborghini and a pickup truck. I say the because the straight line that follows the back is usually only found in trucks and so it reminds you of a truck when you see that. If you took off the top rear portion of the car it would look alot like a sporty truck.

The front definitely has some inspiration from a lamborghini.

After talking to another designer here we think the line following the side of the car should have a revision. It doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the vehicle.
I kinda like it, but it seems to fit more in the truck category to me.

ahh thanks for the designer input, never quite thought truck when workin on it, but I can see what you mean, being that the car had little to no crowning surfaces I think thats basicly where you might see that. I have been using the Lambo design theme on my last group of cars, which were a design growth from this car, such as my oZo and Anvil concepts. But I figure I could do something with it.

When designing it I did use Lambo theme and learning how to trick the eye on some of the angles, like the headlights, its definitly not my greatest. I was also taking some cues from some LMP race cars, seeing that they also have some flat sides to them, but I guess with the full load of flatness it becomes a little to boxy in its final result.

Not sure when I'll have time to work on it again, since Ive got 2 client cars in progress, but I'll wrap it up with an interior and maybe some more details around the sides to break it up.

well that's some sweet work, but a bit too "Rhino modelled like" for me, i e flat surfaces and trims. That's definetely a good start, but would you have done it this way with a poly modeller ? i don't think so. Look at the straightness flatness of your sides lines and surfaces for example.
IMO you'll have to spend more time building curves in the future :).

waiting for update

point taken,
but the orignal intent was to design it simple.
and then from there I made these designs.

My intent was simple geometric shapes, but Ive been taking that to the next level on my current project, such as the race car for DP and another client. But I do have some odd designs I have yet to finish like this one, that would be nice to have some finishing touches applied to them.

Thanks for the crit man, it does helps to have others opinions on my ideas.
