giant551 07-01-2005, 06:10 PM Hey guys, Well this is my latest model and its also my enty into the renderosity June challenge. I really like old cars and one of my friends is lucky enought to have one of these so i promised to make a model for him. I didn't have any blueprints so i had to model from photographs which was a challenge in its self. its rendered in flamingo using 1 point light with soft shadows render time was about 18 mins, anyway i hope you like it

It turned out really nice! Good work.
It is a little bit disturbing not seeing the black silhouette of the mechanics behind the front wheel, but I'm kind of nit-picking with this crit. It make the car look like an empty shell seeing nothing through the holes in the wheel's but the ground where there should be mountings and brakes and such. Another tiny crit or question is... do the columns between the side windows bow in slightly on the real car?
Again. good work.

Excellent -- with the possible exception of the tires. They're just a bit flat (as in "untextured") IMHO, and about the only item that makes your work distinguishable from reality. If it's helpful, I found some pictorial reference for you here:
