View Full Version : PROJECT PHOENIX ENTRY: Jean-Luc Grenier
HAWK999 02-21-2006, 10:04 AM Hi all,
here's my concept
From the depth of the great waters, the primordial mud, dormant, forgotten, rises to the surface.
Within, lies the seed of the phoenix, the thunderbird recreating itself from the source to journey yet again amongst us

Hi Bronco,
for me the sketch depicts the creative process in it's raw stage before further defining.

Loon,
yes it's the head of a phoenix in the works
Reuben,
you're right with Mr bebel and encage. I just love the combination of those two plugins.
Thanks for the comments

Here's another test but I'm running out of time for what I would like to try out.

I like where you're going with this. Nice metallic texturing and the stained glass/oily residue colorization seen through the holes. I know what you mean about running out of time, but it's only a couple of more days....keep going...

Very good! 48 hours to go, we still can do quite much. Bon courage Jean-Luc.

Nicely done. I like the metallic colorization you chose. It gives it a very surreal feel to it. Gotta love MForge and working with metal. Glad you were able to submit your image. Now if only we can find a way to exist without sleeping.....

Thanks Troy,
I'm glad I didn't wait for the other render. It finished at 12:02...
I agree with the sleep thing. My personnal record is 504 hoiurs without sleep(3 full weeks)
It was a rather bad contract I had to finish. Worst deadline ever.
On that note, I'm going to bed...

Interresting how everybody has his own vision of a common concept. Everything so different yet compelling. Nice work Jean-Luc!
