Hello everyone. I've recently downloaded Wings and was wondering if there were any plugins that gave Wings 3D an interface or toolbars. What I'm looking for specifically is something with a toolbar like in photo editing programs where you would have buttons for different types of extrusions, scaling, add edge tools, etc.?
Does anyone know if anything like this exists for Wings?

Thanks :)

Yup, that's the beauty of this wee app... no clutter... basically this is one of those tools whereby the quicker you can learn how to use "HotKeys" the quicker your work will go...

This approach really saves on the cross screen travel that one encounters with most standard type apps...

Hot Key List found here... :D (http://pub33.ezboard.com/fnendowingsmiraifrm12.showMessage?topicID=142.topic)

This has no doubt been posted before, but in case ya missed it... :D

I hadn't seen that hotlink list - thanks. Although I can never remember any of them :hmm: (hence the question about a toolbar).

Hi KK just incase you didn't know you can assign 1 key to do the same move for different selection for example choose 3 hotkeys say f6 f7 f8 and assign each to move in a different direction x,y,z goto vetex mode select a vertex enter your move hotkeys then switch to edge and assign the same 3 keys then to faces and again. you can use that example for extrude just pick 3 new hotkeys. If you cant remember the keys try taping some paper above your top function keys. note f3 to f5 are in use by something.

Thanks blackthorn3d. I'll have to play with this app some more to get used to it. Maybe I'll just use a voice recognition program for it all.... :D

I use GameCommander 2 for my voice recognition stuff (mostly games). It works pretty well too (with no noticeable performance hits in games): http://www.gamecommander.com. They have a new version out now (gamecommander 3) - and a demo for it here: http://www.gamecommander.com/trial/ .

You'll want a good microphone too - just so it's not picking up background interference (ex. dogs barking, noisy roommates sneezing, etc). If you get GameCommander from a store it's more expensive, but it comes with a fairly high quality head-mounted microphone (there are probably better ones out there, but the one the software comes with is usually good enough).

*edit*: blackthorn3d - i haven't tried setting up GameCommander for wings yet, I'm still using my free time to learn the program's various functions first :D
