I have been modeling all day and I finally got my model the way that I want it. the only problem now is that when I try to export a .obj file I get nothing in LW. The model was started in LW and tweaked in wings. Please tell me that this is a bug and not that I have to redo everything. The 3ds exporter works fine but with all the triangles, the results wont work. The verion of Wings is the most current. The c one. Thanks in advance.

weird ,

I exported wings -> maya -> wings ->zbrush -> maya without a problem with the obj export. I am using the same version you are using.

See if you can view the obj file in another app. The demo of Cinema4D might be a good choice. If it works in other apps then you'll know the problem is with lw not wings. You can also view the obj file with wordpad. It's a text file and a very simple format.

I had the same problem. If you select all objects then choose "export selected" it will export correctly. For some reason just using the export selection fails to save any facet information.

Problem solved. I think I may have installed something on my computer and failed to restart before working in Wings3d. Thank you all for the suggestions. Originally I did try opening the file up in two other apps with no result. Anyway everythigns working fine now. Also, did I forget to mention that wings is a better modeller than Lightwave?
