I just installed vista and wings works. However i am completely unable to find the preferences file. I assume becuase vista has a completely new user system. Any ideas for a fix or if bjorn and friends will be updating it?

Does it read the prefs at all? The location is usually printed as "Reading preferences from: c:\..." in the Erlang window.

i found it. the erlang window was blank but it was saving my prefs. it was located in:

C:\Users\[NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Wings3D

That folder is hidden of course. Thanks for your help

Always remember to scroll up in the Erlang window. Messages are usually hidden and if you scroll up you find its output. This is true for errors as well, the output has to be scrolled up to.
