View Full Version : Tablet and wings user with a few questions..

Hi there

I've been using wings 3d for a couple of years now and have just now bought a nice tablet pc - a HP TC 4400. I've installed the latest version of wings on it and it seems to work great. I had feared that the tablet would be way too slow to handle any 3d, but to my surprise it handles wings with ease. That said I haven't really run any real heavy stuff on it yet, but I sure will eventually....

that is... IF!

You see, a little problem has sneaked in. The first item on every dropdown list is greyed out and is completely unreadable. Mind you, I can still use the items, just not read them. So the program is actually working ok, it's just of heavy annoyance.

I tried setting new colors in the preferences/user interface menu, but it seems that the program doesn't really want to change all the item colors. Some do, and some don't.

Now I wonder if it has anything to do with the tablet/XP tablet PC edition or if the problem lies within Wings itself.

I had this same problem on a laptop pc (sony Vaio) ... It was there with or without a tablet and I assumed it was a graphics card thing as the card was just the built in one.


I have another more powerful laptop and never had an issue with it.

Thanks Paul, you beat me to it. That was infact me posting that on the wings3d forum. I should have come back here earlier to post the help that PC gave me.

I hope it's something you can use too, Michael.
