Well thought it is about time to start posting out entries. I guess now until ground hog day. So I have some wires and some renders

Now some renders

Note the model was subdivided for the renders. Subdivision x3 in Messiah which will result in 9x the polygons. 25896 faces in Wings.

Interesting ... so you can 'dial' in the way that each wings (model) face is going to be subdivided - as opposed to 3 x subdivision as in wings ... 4^3 = 64 x orig no of model faces.

Messiah works a bit different. 1x is no subD 2x is 4 times or two by two and 3X is 3x3 with is 9 times the polygons. Most apps will give you 16x the polygons for that setting and skip the between setting. I think that is a nice thing to have, the thing about it though is that you must have all quads no exceptions so at times can be a pain in the ass at times. Can't do it face by face but object by object. So in Messiah it will go 4, 9, 16, 25,36 etc. Messiah is pretty neat software a lot of wings users use it. Messiah is just rigging and animation and rendering no modeling allthough it will subdivide you model for you. Also remember 1 is zero they count different.

Seems like you could have some better settings in Messiah to get rid of that noise. . . If you want I could have a go at it. . .

Thanks Wegg I know I coudl have a nicer render too. I used the car in a big render. I would have to check the settings I think I might have just had the GI samples to 3 for just a quick forum pic. I find they usually turn out better too if you have a light and the GI set up. I used the catherdral HDRI. I think my material might need some work too(chrome parts) . Might be nice to seee how you would set it up. I did look at one of your threads and used the settings you had before. Should have two or tree more entries. I'll have to look at how big the file is.

Here is one of the final images I posted in my challenge thread. There are still things I need to do to fully finish this model, but anyways.....

most of the model was done lower res and smoothed once for these images. The only exceptions are the wheels and a few small cube objects.

I guess wait for Jonnte top put in his entry. I think the jeep will roudn out the package here. One reason I did that too is that Jonnte was saying he thought he was cheating by smoothign in a different app. I wanted to show I was doing it too. Anyways you can smooth in wings on export on a larger mesh that would be the same.

Is there a $10,000 prize for first place , LOL ????? Of course not.

But one would guess there was from the quality of the entries here.

Well in order to get things moving along I thought we can give the honors to Jonnte after all he has not chosen a challenge yet. If everyone agrees. Keep things interesting and mix it up. I like all the entries.
