CGTalk - Does anyone know?

I and a friend are making a game.
He's the programmer, and currently has some problems with loading animations out of .X files with C++ in Direct X 9.0
Does someone know a example for download or a way of doing it.
We have tried microsofts SDK, but don't get anything out of it.

I remember seeing more then one link to tuts on doing this someplace over on Flipcode (http://www.flipcode.com) Do a search under the Development Tutorials page.
